ABOUT THE AREA

The Mearns is an area of great natural beauty stretching along the North-east coast from St.Cyrus in the south to Portlethen in the North. To the west, the rolling, fertile agricultural land of the Howe merges almost seemlessly with the foothills of the Grampian mountains. The coastline on the east is a mecca for bathers, birdwatchers, sea anglers and watersports enthusiasts.
