| The Royal Burgh of Inverbervie is a very interesting
town which is constantly extending its borders with modern bungalows
but unfortunately closing down the jute mills and fish factory.

| At one time there were several mills but
sadly none are operating today. Inverbervie is a now more of a commuter
town where the working population travel to Stonehaven or Aberdeen in
the north and Montrose in the south. |

'Bervie' also has a selection of atmospheric local shops
and hotels where visitors are always made welcome. A walk along the
beach and round the rocks at Inverbervie is a pleasure and a worthwhile
experience. Long may it continue to progress and live up to its "Royal"
reputation. |
| A few miles down the coast, the villages
of Johnshaven and Gourdon offer a flavour of the glory days of traditional
sea fishing. You can buy fresh-caught fish - perhaps even a lobster!
- sit on the harbour walls and wander the fascinating lanes of the old
parts. |
