Stonehaven, the biggest town in the area, boasts a unique art deco open air swimming pool, art deco restaurant, picturesque harbour and beach. The summer season highlights are the highland games, folk festival, feein' market and well-established half marathon race. Each hogmanay is the world famous fireball swinging ceremony. The coastline between Kinneff and Stonehaven is a haven to millions of sea birds, and at Fowlsheugh Reserve, you can see puffins, guillemots, fulmars and many more at close quarters. Boat trips are run in the summer months.
DUNNOTTAR CASTLE (c)2003 Martin Sim	On a promontory south of Stonehaven stands one of Scotland's best known landmarks - the iconic Dunnottar Castle. The dramatic setting and brooding presence of Dunnottar ensures thousands of people visit each year.
